Social Media Manager - Brazil

Job description

Did you know that Brazil has over 1M Linktree users? That's a lot.

To support the rapid growth, we want to make sure we show our Brazilian customers and friends the love they deserve and need a Social Media Manager to treat them like their own online family. As a special bonus, you will get to work with The World's Nicest Guy and Country Manager of Brazil; Gab, and our growing brand team, including Maddy and Henry.

You would become the expert on the Linktree product and the owner of the Brazillian social community to further increase our audience engagement metrics by delivering quality content, and a high level of community management.

Instead of a list of demands, we'll tell you all the different things we'd love for you to challenge yourself with in this role. As a startup in growth mode, the mentality of "I can do that given the opportunity and with a bit of help from my team" is what we look for in all of our hires.

It would be great if you were able to:

  • Develop social strategy and Linktree’s social narratives and priorities by collaborating with our global teams
  • Externally partner with relevant audiences, users and partners.
  •  Oversee the social calendar, liaising with Linktree influencers and brands to coordinate crossover opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to capture own content, share relevant content and opportunities to partner with content creatives to craft compelling narratives.
  • Engage and foster the Linktree community in Brazil. Create conversation and education of the Linktree products and features. Actively seek out engagement and solve problems for our users.
  • Amplify content from Linktree’s blog, user-generated content and press to grow audiences and engagement across platforms.
  • Track and report events and trends across platforms to create data-driven content recommendations.

Core skills & experience required

  • 2+ years of social media management experience, ideally within a tech company or agency
  • Excellent creative copywriting and editing skills in both Portuguese and English
  • Proficiency in social media analytics, scheduling and creative tools
  • Experience and a proven knowledge of the cultural nuances in Brazil
  • Platforms experience across Instagram (and Stories), TikTok, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

What do we offer in return?

Linktree's company culture and values are based around collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and flexibility. Those are all nice words but to give you some more specific examples:

We are a family-friendly and flexible work environment with our team with a number of our team working hours around school and home commitments.

We have several diversity and inclusion initiatives underway, including a D&I council, training for all staff on neurodiversity and the incorporation of a transgender inclusion policy.

Our team is diverse across age, gender, and race and we are very proud of that.

Due to COVID we are all remote but even when COVID is behind us, we will be a mixed remote and in-office company. With our team already spread across 8 locations and 3 countries, we will always be some form of remote.

We prioritise our team's mental health, with all employees have free access to Smiling Mind & Uprise, including 1:1 coaching sessions from qualified psychologists or counsellors.

The Linktree story:

We have grown quickly in 2020, from a team of 20 people to pver 40 in the past 6 months, with more growth planned due to the continued expansion of our customer base around the world and our recent Series A raise with Insight Partners and Airtree.

The Linktree journey begins in 2016 when co-founders Alex, Anthony and Nick were running a digital agency and using Instagram to make announcements about the artists they managed. Created as a side hustle to solve a simple problem, Linktree has well outgrown its roots, with over 8 million users worldwide, 20,000 new signups every day, and over 120 million unique views per month. Paired with rapid growth, Linktree has recently garnered much attention in the tech world, earning 4th place on Fast Company's "10 most innovative social media companies of 2020".

The Linktree audience is broad, spanning publications, artists, celebrities, fashion and beauty influencers, YouTube stars, sports teams and household brands, right the way through to individuals with a side hustle and micro-influencers. Linktree subscribers include Alicia Keys, Selena Gomez, Pharrell, Jamie Oliver, Vice, Red Bull, Adult Swim, Patreon, Naomi Campbell, Comedy Central, Gordon Ramsay, Billabong…and many more!
