Product Marketing Specialist (activation)

Job description

In the growth marketing funnel, activation comes after acquisition and uses data insights to drive users to adopt new and existing product features, driving growth through activation. You will own that stage of the funnel under the guidance of our growth specialist Hannah and head of growth, Jess and as part of a broader team of growth specialists.


You will build strategies, campaigns and initiatives to get new Linktree users to add their first links, adopt new and existing features and ultimately, guide them to converting to pro accounts.

We are currently a team of 70 people spread across Australia, The US, Brazil, Indonesia and Ireland with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. This role can be based in either Australia or LA with a lot of flexibility around how much time you spend working remotely or at the office.


What this person does:

  • Owns the stage of the flywheel focused on activating new free and PRO users - creating their first few links, adding avatars and adding Linktree to their platforms
  • Create experiments to find new ways of increasing our growth metrics in line with the growth teams ethos of continuous improvement
  • Owns the go-to-market delivery for new features
  • Is responsible for maintaining and procuring tools and systems that support activation like Appcues and Braze
  • Uses data to validate assumptions and turn them into actionable insights, in tandem with our data analyst
  • Work collaboratively with the retention specialist to ensure key activation steps are met to help mitigate churn
  • Work closely with the motion design team to help build out on-boarding and activation education campaigns with global scalability

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in similar growth marketing roles, ideally with an activation focus and in similar SaaS companies 
  • Experience in global customer markets
  • Experience with large customer bases & data sets - Linktree has over 11 million accounts and growing by 30,000 a day
  • Prior commercial exposure to Appcues or Braze is ideal but similar tools or platforms will also be fine


In the first 30 days you would:

  • Conduct an analysis of our current activation efforts and present findings to wider growth team/squad including recommendations and next steps
  • Built out a 30-60-90 day plan for activation initiatives and campaigns
  • Built out performance indicators for activation benchmarking to enable measurement of activation efforts
