Podcast Producer

Job description

Should Linktree have a podcast? Should we have multiple podcasts? Who is on them? What are we talking about on them?  What is our Clubhouse strategy? What if Facebook or Twitter launch audio-only platforms, are we prepared for that? Did we know it was coming?

The Podcast Producer will answer those questions, set the content strategies, brand and influencer partnerships, host, interview, moderate, and produce so that our user's ears are engaged at all times. Podcast Producer may not be the right title to cover all of those requirements so we are open to adapting that to the right person too!

Us:

Linktree, a rapidly growing tech company that started in Australia and has gone global. In 2020 alone we grew from 3 million to 10 million users and average over 30,000 new signups every day. We have a team of 2 in LA at the moment but are growing that team quickly and offer great flexibility in working from home from other locations and coming in to the office sometimes.

This role has broad responsibilities from audio content strategy, production to moderation. Ideally, you would be able to develop content plans for podcasts and newer formats like Clubhouse, establish partnerships, produce the content (including being a confident interviewer and moderator) to getting the content up on the relevant platforms.

This content would be to promote Linktree as a service, our founders & leaders, product features, our working culture, form part of content strategies for partnership launches - anything that engages and educates our users and potential users. While there is a broad set of responsibilities we are asking this role to cover, you won't be alone. We have specialist teams in social and brand marketing, product experts, and more that you will work with on a daily basis.

Requirements

Must have experience that we are looking for:

  • Experience in Podcast production roles for brands, i.e. not only your own podcasts
  • Experience in the social media tech space and a strong understanding of the community
  • Hosting and interviewing podcasts
  • Experience developing interview scripts and content themes
  • Experience in podcast production, editing for promotion, and uploading to the various DSP's

In this role you will:

  • Someone to own the audio content calendar alongside our other content specialists
  • Be the voice of Linktree on Clubhouse. Our subject matter expert, presenter and moderator
  • Someone to collaborate with our Community lead to start and grow the Linktree Clubhouse community
  • Identify and engage relevant influencers to appear on our content, or for us to be guests on their shows
  • Work with our marketing team to promote the content to the relevant audiences

The key measurement for success in this role will be firstly establishing Linktree's audio presence and then growing the follower base across all relevant platforms and categories.

We hire with a people-first approach, so more importantly as a human, you will be collaborative, curious, enjoy solving complex problems and have empathy for the growing pains of a rapidly scaling startup.

Linktree's company culture and values are based around collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and flexibility. Those are all nice words but to give you some more specific examples:

  • We are a family-friendly and flexible work environment with our team with a number of our team working hours around school and home commitments.
  • We have several diversity and inclusion initiatives underway, including a D&I council, training for all staff on neurodiversity and the incorporation of a transgender inclusion policy.
  • Our team is diverse across age, gender, and race and we are very proud of that.
  • Due to COVID we are all remote but even when COVID is behind us, we will be a mixed remote and in-office company. With our team already spread across 8 locations and 3 countries, we will always be some form of remote.
  • We prioritise our team's mental health, with all employees have free access to Smiling Mind & Uprise, including 1:1 coaching sessions from qualified psychologists or counsellors.
