Linktree is a platform connecting your followers to your entire online ecosystem — not just one feed. In 4 years, we’ve become the front door to the online world for more than 12 million users and that number is growing by more than 30,000 a day.
This role can be based anywhere in Australia and can be fully remote or a hybrid in-office and remote model. We have offices in Sydney and Melbourne but our team is distributed across QLD, WA, SA, TAS, US, Brazil, Indonesia and Ireland.
We are looking for someone who can own our approach for prioritising which markets Linktree should focus on. This candidate will help us allocate our resources, both financial and people, across the many geographies that Linktree operates in. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and scaling out central operations across international markets for tech startups. They will also be comfortable finding opportunities and resolving challenges in specific priority markets. For instance, partnering with a local payment gateway in Brazil to help more users access our service, or negotiating an agreement with a telecommunications firm in Vietnam.
Reporting into our Head of Strategy & Operations, the candidate will work closely with our Country Managers and other business leaders. The role will be 70% operations and 30% strategy (roughly) so while strategic thinking is important, it's essential that you are able to connect that strategy to solving real operational problems for the business. Everyone in our business (CEO included) rolls up their sleeves to get the job done.
What we are looking for:
Our company culture
We hire with a people-first approach, so more importantly as a human, you will be collaborative, curious, enjoy solving complex problems and have empathy for the growing pains of a rapidly scaling startup.
Linktree's company culture and values are based around collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and flexibility. Those are all nice words but to give you some more specific examples:
The Linktree story:
The Linktree journey begins in 2016 when co-founders Alex, Anthony and Nick were running a digital agency and using Instagram to make announcements about the artists they managed. Created as a side hustle to solve a simple problem, Linktree has well outgrown its roots, with over 12 million users worldwide, 30,000 + new signups every day, and over 120 million unique views per month. Paired with rapid growth, Linktree has recently garnered much attention in the tech world, earning 4th place on Fast Company's "10 most innovative social media companies of 2020".
In March 2021, Linktree raised $45 million in Series B Funding led by Index Ventures and Coatue on top of our Series A with Insight Partners and AirTree. The funding will be used to expand headcount globally, develop product features and go towards making Linktree the best possible place to work for our staff.
The Linktree audience is broad, spanning publications, artists, celebrities, fashion and beauty influencers, YouTube stars, sports teams and household brands, right the way through to individuals with a side hustle and micro-influencers. Linktree subscribers include Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Pharrell, Jamie Oliver, HBO, Red Bull, Adult Swim, Patreon, Cara Delevingne, Comedy Central, Gordon Ramsay, Billabong…and many more!
