Head of People and Culture

Job description

The Head of People and Culture role at Linktree is extremely important to our future plans as this person will design and build our processes and policies to ensure we maintain the strong culture we've built, as we continue to grow. Our aim is to be one of, if not the best company in the world to work for. So with lofty goals and plenty of work that needs doing, this should appeal to those that love greenfields projects and a challenge.

 

The dreamboat for us is someone with a strong general HR background, as you will be required to handle what we could call "traditional HR" responsibilites and ideally within scaled tech companies, as we are growing, a lot. We've grown from 20 to 40 people this year and added 3 million customer accounts from April to September, with no end of that growth in sight. 

 

As well as the "traditional HR" responsibilties, you'll be tasked with designing and rolling out:

 

  • Diversity and inclusion policies and frameworks
  • Parental leave policies
  • Employee training and benefits
  • Internship, graduate, and mentorship programs
  • Remote working policies
  • Employee onboarding and engagement processes and tools (almost certainly going to be Culture Amp for engagement)
  • Mental health programs
  • Career progression planning
  • Performance management frameworks and training
  • Oversee recruitment processes 

We do a lot of the above already, but if we have it already it needs polishing. If we don't have it, it needs creating. This is a hands-on role so you will enjoy working from concept to final product in your day to day. 


There is currently a Talent Acquisition Manager in our team, in fact, I'm writing this job ad, so you won't need to lead recruitment, but we will partner frequently and I'm interested to learn from you and happy to support you where I can. 

Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in Senior People & Culture or HR roles in tech companies would be our first preference
  • Extremely approachable to all members and levels in our team
  • Experience in designing scalable people frameworks for growing tech companies would definitely appeal to us, particularly in regards to remote and distributed workforces
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources
  • Proven experience in designing policies, frameworks and processes that improve workplace culture and performance
  • Resourcefulness; if you don't know the answer to something, you'll definitely know where to find it
  • The highest possible level of people skills and be able to make anyone in the business feel heard and included
  • A get stuff done attitude, that's really part of everyone in the company but especially this role. You need to be consultative and an advisor but get boxes ticked off too.
