The Role: 

Our Head of Content is responsible for creating, managing, and supporting all of our content efforts and deliverables across various platforms. As part of the Brand Marketing team, this person will manage various writers, editors, copywriters, content producers, and media specialists, while working cross-functionally with the larger growth, brand marketing, product, social, community and design teams. This person will have an incredible impact on the business, as they are going to oversee all digital content for Linktree, further developing our editorial voice, establishing our thought leadership within the space and ultimately driving conversions. The ideal candidate will come from a strong digital content background, specifically working in an in-house environment to build out a fast-growing SaaS or technology startup business, with a focus on growing audiences.

What You Will Do: 

  • Develop and oversee the holistic content strategy for Linktree across all outputs, which entails blog, audio, and editorial newsletters
  • Build content strategies to grow top of funnel awareness
  • Strategize to build an affinity for the brand with existing users / the community
  • Shape a content calendar that supports brand campaigns, community education and product releases
  • Continually grow, manage, and foster a world class content team, including a roster of freelancers with regional talent
  • Grow our audiences that will ultimately convert users, build brand love, and increase our employer brand
  • Optimize content for reach, relevance, and revenue
  • Work closely with our various teams including but not limited to growth, social, product marketing

What We Are Looking For: 

  • 5+ years of work experience as a Head of Content, Content Director, Senior Content Strategist, or similar role in a SaaS, technology, editorial, or publishing environment 
  • Experience recruiting, managing, and delegating tasks and assignments to both in-house and freelance writers, content producers, and creatives 
  • Demonstrable experience in covering social media, digital marketing, and tech-related topics across various platforms
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (Google Analytics) to evaluate campaign and content performance
  • Strong background in writing, editing, and interpersonal skills

Where and How We Work:

This role can be based anywhere in the USA; we currently have close to 20 people in the US with offices in Melbourne, Sydney with LA coming next. Our team is spread across Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, USA, Canada, Ireland, and Nigeria.

Being globally distributed doesn't mean working to one time-zone and we offer autonomy and flexibility in how you structure your days and weeks. There will be the need for some collaboration outside of a "normal" 9-5 being a global company but we aim to work asynchronously where possible.
