The Linktree story starts in 2016, when co-founders Alex, Anthony and Nick were running a digital agency and using Instagram to make announcements about the artists they managed. Created as a side-hustle to solve a simple problem, Linktree has well outgrown its roots, with over 3 million users worldwide, 10,000 new signups every day and over 120 million unique browsers per month.

Our audience is broad, spanning publications, artists, celebrities, fashion and beauty influencers, YouTube stars, sports teams and household brands, right the way through to individuals with a side hustle and micro influencers. Linktree users include Alicia Keys, Pharrell, Jamie Oliver, Vice, Expedia, Eva Mendes, Naomi Campbell, World Surf League, Billabong…and many more!

To support such unprecedented growth, we’re building powerful new features in Linktree to help our users understand the impact of their content with analytics features. To do that we are expanding our engineering team and are looking for the next generation of Data Analytics experts. As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will be involved in every step of the development process and will enjoy the agile and dynamic startup environment combined with the stability of a well established and fast growing organisation. If up for the challenge, you’ll get to:

  • Build and ship the data systems that power Linktree’s analytics
  • Work with cross-functional teams of developers, designers, digital producers
  • Work on broader projects with our parent company, Bolster
  • Experiment with the projects that range from social listening through to shaping the way the music industry uses data


You stand out because you have:

  • 2+ years commercial data engineering experience
  • Experience building data pipelines, big data warehouses and shipping features
  • Ability to lead your own department while working well with dependent teams
  • Personable, clear and constructive communication skills

Technical Must Haves :

  • Experience with Redshift and/or Presto/Athena, Hadoop, Google BigQuery and using them for best practice data architecture
  • Comfortable working with event stream data from at least one analytics platform like Snowplow, Adobe Analytics or GA360
  • Experience with ETL scheduling technologies with dependency checking, such as Airflow, as well as schema design and dimensional data modelling
  • Python (or R) and relevant libraries (e.g. Pandas and NumPy)
  • Advanced SQL in an analytics environment

Bonus Points :

  • Prior experience with Snowplow
  • Knowledge of NoSQL, particularly ElasticSearch highly desired
  • Experience with BI tools like Metabase, Looker, Tableau etc
  • An interest in music, entertainment, culture and lifestyle industries
